KEY INGREDIENTS:

Hibiscus Extract:

Rich in antioxidant flavonoids, which guard the skin from free radical damage. It also protects the skin from forming enzymes, which break down collagen and elastin within the skin, helps to optimise skin elasticity and helps the appearance of wrinkles and expression lines.

Co-Enzyme Q10 (CoQ10 / Ubiquinone):

CoQ10 is an important component of the skin’s natural antioxidant defence system and is easily depleted by free radical and environmental damage. CoQ10 is lipid soluble and absorbs readily into the skin where it protects from UV induced damage and improves the appearance of wrinkles. CoQ10 also increases the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in the skin. GAG’s are natural moisturising factors that hold 1000 times their weight in water, and have a plumping, hydrating effect on the skin. Replenishing the skin with added CoQ10 can have a protective effect on skin cells and structures and assist in preventing premature aging.

Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate):

An antioxidant that is important for protecting the skin from the formation of enzymes that destroy cellular membranes, causing premature aging and inflammation.

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide):

Increases the skin’s own antioxidant defence enzyme levels. Vitamin B3 also evens out skin tone, reduces redness and irritation, improves epidermal barrier function and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Milk Thistle Extract (Silybum Marianum):

Contains a potent compound known as silymarin, which has antioxidant, photo-protective and anti-inflammatory properties.

Aloe Vera:

Aloe vera has many applications in skincare due to its high concentration of active compounds, which provide soothing and healing effects. Aloe can also prevent uneven skin tone due to an active constituent known as aloesin, which is known to reduce pigmentation by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase which is responsible for melain production.

Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone):

Included for its soothing properties. It also helps to improve the appearance of skin tone and dark circles.

Squalene (Olive Derived):

An essential component of the skin’s natural lipid structure as well as being a component of the skin’s sebum. Squalane plays a role in skin barrier integrity and maintaining the suppleness of the skin.
